The size of the unit you need to have installed depends on a couple of factors such as the total square footage of the space you want to heat or cool, the location of where you want to put the equipment, if your home is properly insulated, and more.
The type of system you should have installed primarily depends on what you are trying to achieve with the system. If you are looking for high efficiency you want to get a system that has a higher SEER rating of 16 or above.
Generally, there is no service required for your HVAC system except for making sure you frequently change your air filter. Sometimes the condenser may need to be cleaned.
HVAC systems that were installed between 1970 - 1990 typically last much longer than units installed today. Though older units are not energy efficient and will end up running up your gas & electric bill. HVAC installed new typically can last anywhere between 15 - 20 years and will be significantly more efficient.
Your filter should be replaced a minimum of every 6 months. If you have pets or issues with dust you should change it at least every 3 months.
Your filter should be either in the bottom portion of the furnace or in a large return air grille typically located on the ceiling or low sidewall.
We can install furnaces, coil & condensers (air conditioning equipment), mini-split systems, dryer vent exhaust ducting, kitchen hood exhaust ducting, bathroom fan exhaust ducting, whole-house fans, attic fans, and thermostats.
No
For central FAU (Forced Air Unit) we generally use Rheem equipment, for mini-split installations we generally use Fujitsu. We do often work with other brands. The only brand we cannot install is Lennox.
All estimates are free. If service needs to be performed to make the system operational, a service fee will incur.
It all depends on what you are looking to have installed, the location of where you want the equipment to be installed, if you have an existing system, the size of the home, if we need HOA approval, etc.
Ensure there is free and clear access to the areas we will be working in. If you have pets make sure they are secured a will not be in the work areas where they could potentially be harmed.
